About the team/role

Our Workplace Operations and Talent Coordinator, reporting into Workplace, will be essential to the Workplace team's function and will hugely impact our company culture and workplace experience. We are looking for someone with great operational prowess, an upbeat and approachable attitude, impeccable customer service skills, and a willingness to cultivate the best employee experience for Checkrs!

What you'll do

  • Support daily facilities operations in our Nashville office in coordination with the Checkr Workplace Operations Team. This includes assisting with janitorial services, HVAC maintenance, food services, badge and security management, and resolving general maintenance issues promptly and effectively.

  • Partner with the Talent team to support onsite interviews: greeting candidates, managing breaks between interviews and additional talent and recruiting responsibilities. Assist with scheduling on occasion.

  • Build strong working relationships with HR business partners (HRBPs), internal Checkr Resource Groups (CRGs), local management, and other stakeholders within Checkr to help implement employee experience strategies that enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity.

  • Staff the front desk during absences and break periods, and provide coverage for Workplace team members during absences.

  • Help implement the hybrid work strategy developed by the Workplace Operations leadership team to ensure effective operational continuity across different work arrangements.

  • Support and help enhance employee experiences across the lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding, including assisting with offboarding processes and presenting at new hire orientations.

  • Coordinate and help execute engaging intra-office events for local Nashville Checkrs that reflect company culture and foster team cohesion, including site setup, item and food sourcing, and cleanup.

  • In coordination with the Nashville Workplace team, help oversee daily lunch service and the snack and beverage program, organizing food needs for group meetings, internal employee meetings, and offsites.

  • Support various project and program implementations to create smooth, transparent experiences for all employees, including coordinating with teams and tracking timelines.

  • Assist in managing relationships with property management, coordinating necessary building operations and maintenance.

  • Help manage shared audio-visual spaces within the Nashville office, resolving basic technical issues and ensuring these resources are used effectively.

What you bring

  • 1-3 years of operational, people ops, talent and/or facilities-related experience; internships or relevant coursework welcome. A strong interest in creating and delivering great employee experiences.

  • Enthusiasm for supporting and executing successful events.

  • Familiarity with (or willingness to quickly learn) Zoom Rooms, A/V technologies, GSuite, and Slack to support effective communication and collaboration.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels from vendors to executives. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across different functions and with a range of stakeholders.

  • Comfort working within a fast-paced office environment, and capability to work efficiently in the physical Nashville office daily.

  • Willingness to work overtime periodically. Sometimes early days, sometimes late weekdays, and very rarely weekends for office moves or large capital project executions.

  • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
