Outbound Dock Supervisor (4pm 1am shift)

The ideal candidate will have experience in freight/dock operations and possess strong leadership skills to oversee daily activities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manage and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations Coordinate and prioritize workflow to meet operational demands Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance performance Monitor inventory levels and oversee materials handling processes Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including 3PL coordination Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance needs Resolve operational issues and address employee concerns promptly Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Previous experience in a freight/dock/union environment with knowledge of logistics operations Proficiency in using warehouse management systems Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and materials handling processes Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting Knowledge of 3PL operations and best practicesPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
