Full job description

About this role:

This position is part of the Supply Chain Finance - Supplier Onboarding product team within Supply Chain Finance (SCF). Supplier Finance is a high growth product of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking which provides working capital solutions for Commercial Banking (CB) and Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). Supplier Finance is a credit and payment services program provided to large, multinational clients to ensure adequate liquidity to their broad supply base by enabling Wells Fargo to provide early payments to such suppliers for invoices resulting from supplier shipments to the client. Once a client has agreed to implement such a program, this client (the “Buyer”) will sponsor the program in conjunction with Wells Fargo and facilitate Wells Fargo’s recruiting of its suppliers to individually join the program for accelerated payments, known as an Accounts Receivable purchase/discount.

This is an external-facing, consultative sales and onboarding role focused on driving adoption of Buyer-sponsored programs among referred suppliers. The individual engages financial executives at mid-sized companies through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email to educate them on program benefits, answer financial and program-related questions, and facilitate completion of onboarding documentation. This is not a telemarketing or cold-calling position. Suppliers are direct referrals from the Bank’s large multinational clients and are expecting program outreach. The position therefore requires strong financial acumen, professional presence, and the ability to communicate effectively with C-level and senior finance executives.

In this role, you will:

  • Outreach via virtual meetings, phone and email to educate financial executives on product benefits

  • Manage the sourcing, onboarding, and documentation of new suppliers, as well as modifications for existing suppliers, including the preparation and distribution of program agreements and supporting materials

  • Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on supplier documentation, legal negotiations, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings required to support onboarding

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers, responding to questions and helping resolve financial, documentation, and onboarding-related issues.

  • Initiate and coordinate supplier system change requests necessary to establish or maintain supplier participation

  • Maintain accurate sales and onboarding activity in Salesforce, including pipeline tracking, metrics reporting, analysis, and management reporting

  • Research Buyer-referred supplier leads and appropriate financial contacts using internal and external resources to maximize supplier engagement and program participation

  • Partner with GRT team members on business initiatives, special projects, analysis, and management presentations

  • Maintain adherence to applicable compliance, control, regulatory, and risk-management requirements throughout the sales and onboarding process

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, treasury management, trade finance, supply chain finance, working capital, or specialty finance products.

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable purchasing, factoring, supplier finance, asset-based lending, or other receivables-based financing solutions.

  • Demonstrated success in a client-facing sales, relationship management, onboarding, implementation, or account management role.

  • Experience presenting financial solutions and business value propositions to CFOs, Treasurers, Controllers, and other senior finance executives.

  • Strong understanding of commercial credit, financial statements, and working capital concepts.

  • Experience managing legal documentation, contract negotiations, and cross-functional coordination with internal and external counsel.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple client onboarding projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and service standards.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across sales, operations, legal, risk, and product teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience supporting multinational corporations, large commercial clients, or complex banking relationships.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Job Expectations:

  • Up to 10% Travel

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.
