Full job description

What We Need:

Brady Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team, building high-quality software for our external and internal customers. You’ll design, implement, and test customer-facing software for desktop, mobile, and the web, including our web SDK. You’ll leverage existing Brady products and software to customize workflows and automate labeling solutions, and develop new applications when needed.

AI is now part of how great software gets built, and this role reflects that. You’ll use AI-assisted development tools to deliver faster without cutting corners on quality. You’ll also help find practical ways for AI to make our customers’ labeling workflows smarter.

Want to work across a diverse range of technologies, frameworks, and products, with AI as part of your everyday toolkit? This is the opportunity for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and test customer-facing applications for desktop, mobile, and web platforms using C#, .NET, and .NET MAUI.

  • Build, test, and maintain our web SDK using TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and WebAssembly (Wasm), including its packaging, API documentation, and developer samples.

  • Analyze customer needs and requirements to design and implement effective software solutions.

  • Use AI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, to write, refactor, test, document, and debug code faster.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and technical support, to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.

  • Help the team adopt AI responsibly by sharing what works, setting review standards for AI-generated code, and protecting customer data and intellectual property.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET, with hands-on experience in .NET MAUI or Xamarin.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in Node.js and WebAssembly (Wasm).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), and the ability to communicate designs clearly with UML or similar diagrams.

  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in professional work, with the judgment to know when to trust, verify, or discard their output.

  • Strong fundamentals in debugging, testing, and code review. You can explain and defend every line you ship, whether you or an AI wrote it.

  • Awareness of the risks of AI-assisted development, including insecure or incorrect code, licensing and IP concerns, and safe handling of customer data.
