Full job description

Manager, Infrastructure Engineer - IEB07AE

We’re determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals – and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.

We're looking for a ServiceNow CMDB Manager / Product Owner to lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of our enterprise CMDB. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll own the product vision, roadmap, and outcomes that transform the CMDB into a trusted, service-centric, and AI-ready foundation for IT operations, security, automation, and cloud services.

You'll lead a team of CMDB professionals while partnering with architects, platform engineers, and technology leaders across the organization. Together, you'll drive data quality, governance, service modeling, discovery, and operational excellence at enterprise scale.

CMDB North Star Transformation Leadership

  • Lead the North Star transformation across the stabilize, structure, and scale journey, converting assessment findings into a prioritized, funded, and executable roadmap.

  • Establish a class-based remediation and certification model covering DEFINE, CONTROL, MEASURE, OWN, OPERATE, and CERTIFY stages for priority CI classes and tables.

  • Require a reproducible definition of done for each workstream: baseline, approved design, implemented control, before-and-after proof, named owner, runbook, dashboard, backlog, and sustainment handoff.

Success in this role means: delivering trusted, scalable, and AI-ready CMDB that improves service visibility, strengthens operational decision-making, and enables technology teams to work smarter and more effectively.

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, Columbus, OH, Charlotte, NC, and Chicago, IL) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the CMDB product vision, roadmap, backlog, and success metrics.

  • Lead and develop a team of CMDB engineers, analysts, and administrators.

  • Drive CMDB modernization, governance, and CSDM alignment initiatives.

  • Improve CMDB data quality, service visibility, lifecycle governance, and certification processes.

  • Lead Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph, and CMDB integration strategies.

  • Establish standards, controls, and accountability models that ensure trusted, sustainable CMDB operations.

  • Partner across infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams to improve asset and service visibility.

  • Define and report on KPIs that demonstrate business value, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and platform health.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise CMDB, ServiceNow, ITOM, or configuration management programs.

  • Proven people leadership experience managing technical teams.

  • Deep expertise with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, IRE, and related integrations.

  • Experience building product roadmaps, governance frameworks, and data ownership models.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and IT service management practices.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders, drive organizational change, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, ITOM, Discovery, or Service Mapping).

  • Agile, Product Owner, or ITIL certifications.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, cybersecurity, observability, AIOps, automation, or asset management.

  • Experience operating within regulated or highly governed enterprise environments.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
