Join us and build a career supporting the people who make it all work.

Position Summary

The Risk Analyst serves as a key member of the Risk Management team, supporting workers’ compensation and liability claims administration, return-to-work initiatives, insurance compliance, and vendor oversight. This role acts as a liaison between injured employees, operations and third-party administrators (TPAs) to ensure claims are managed proactively, employees are supported throughout the recovery process, and organizational risk management objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Claims Management & TPA Oversight

  • Monitor and oversee the handling of workers' compensation and auto liability property damage claims managed by third-party administrators (TPAs).

  • Collaborate with TPA claim examiners to ensure claims are managed strategically, proactively, and in accordance with best practices.

  • Review claim activity, potential red flags reserve adequacy, litigation strategy, settlement opportunities, and responsiveness.

  • Escalate significant claim issues and provide recommendations for appropriate resolution strategies.

  • Serve as the Field point of contact regarding workers' compensation claim questions and concerns.

Return-to-Work Coordination & Employee Advocate

  • Act as a resource and advocate for injured employees throughout the claim and recovery process.

  • Coordinate with operations, human resources and TPA to facilitate timely and safe return-to-work opportunities.

  • Partner with location leadership to identify and implement modified duty assignments consistent with medical restrictions.

  • Promote return-to-work best practices to reduce lost workdays and improve employee outcomes.

Insurance Administration

  • Lead issuance of Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and automobile identification cards.

  • Respond to insurance documentation requests from customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Review insurance provisions and related insurance language in customer contracts.

Compliance & Financial Administration

  • Process and track invoices related to claims, insurance premiums, and risk management vendors.

  • Prepare and submit quarterly workers' compensation filings for monopolistic state programs, ensuring compliance with applicable state requirements.

  • Support audits, renewal processes, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in workers' compensation and liability claims, risk management, or insurance administration.

  • Working knowledge of workers' compensation claim management and return-to-work programs.

  • Experience collaborating with TPAs, insurance carriers, brokers, and operational leadership.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience creating Power BI dashboards a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of claims oversight, employee advocacy, operational partnership, and insurance administration rather than serving as a traditional claims adjuster.
