UABOS Spain: War Reserve Material Supervisor

Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

Must supervise and lead a team to maintain safe, serviceable and accurate accountability of Rapid Airfield Damage Repair (RADR) assets. Perform minor maintenance of construction equipment, small engines, tools and attachments. Use ELMS to track all maintenance and repairs. Provide supervision with metrics when requested, perform quality assurance (QA) inspections. Must ensure and enforce shop floor safety and environmental practices are followed. Inspect and repair military and commercial designed base maintenance, support and material handling equipment. Ensures all tasks assigned are carried out in a satisfactory manner In Accordance With (IAW) PWS, Technical Order, Commercial manual, and Air Force standards. Remove, disassemble, repair or replace components, assemblies and or subassemblies and reinstalls as required to maintain equipment in safe operating conditions. Perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping systems, cable and hydraulic lifting equipment and diesel/gas-powered engines, lighting and electrical systems. Make operational adjustments on RADR assets as needed. Perform minor corrosion control repairs detected during safety and scheduled inspections. Assists Material Control in identifying parts required to accomplish repairs utilizing the specific technical orders or commercial manuals. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices. Perform other associated duties as assigned including such collateral duties as supporting company special projects and other sections as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage CE/WRM shop and day to day operations.

  • Supervise 3 LN’s with parts procurement and maintenance and repair of RADR (Rapid Airfield Damage Repair) equipment.

  • Exercise equipment and perform inspections and functional testing IAW all applicable DAFI’s, PWS or commercial manuals.

  • Prepare equipment for shipment, maintain 90% serviceability rate for all RADR assets.

  • Provide guidance to Material Control and Mechanic in identifying parts/repairing assets to accomplish mission requirements.

  • Provide monthly updates to RADR program readiness status and RADR inventory report.

  • Use ELMS, ILS-S and SLES systems daily to track and update equipment status.

  • Prioritize planning of maintenance, operation and testing of all RADR assets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of computers and working in an office environment.

  • Must have a current driver’s license.

  • Experience using construction equipment and operating principles.

  • 2 years WRM/Management experience.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have basic knowledge with Microsoft word, excel and power point.

  • Must have at least 4 years WRM experience.

  • Must be able to communicate at Spanish A1 (basic) level.

  • Must have 6 years in management role.

  • Parts procurement process.
