POSITION SUMMARY

The Rental Demand Planner analyzes rental fleet demand, utilization, customer opportunities, and operational performance to optimize fleet availability and support business growth. This role develops forecasts, identifies fleet requirements, and translates complex data into actionable insights that guide fleet investment, allocation, and operational decisions. The position partners with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Service Centers, and leadership to align customer demand with fleet availability, improve utilization, and strengthen planning and reporting processes.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze rental demand, fleet utilization, inventory, and equipment availability across divisions and service centers.

• Develop demand forecasts and utilization projections to identify fleet shortages, surpluses, and future requirements.

• Recommend fleet purchases, transfers, reallocations, replacements, and returns based on demand and utilization trends.

• Align fleet availability and positioning with customer opportunities and operational requirements.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators related to demand, utilization, fleet growth, equipment availability, opportunity conversion, and operational performance.

• Evaluate performance trends and translate data into actionable recommendations for operational and leadership decision-making.

• Monitor customer opportunities and incorporate projected requirements into fleet and operational planning.

• Partner with Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Service Centers to support fleet movement, allocation, and customer needs.

• Develop automated and scalable reporting solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and reporting accuracy.

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline demand planning, reporting, and operational processes.

• Maintain data integrity and consistency across reporting tools and support resolution of reporting and data issues.

• Train and support stakeholders in the effective use of reporting tools, dashboards, and processes.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Three or more years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, inventory or fleet planning, business analytics, operations, or a related discipline preferred.

• Experience analyzing complex data and translating findings into business recommendations.

• Experience in rental fleet, medical equipment, healthcare, logistics, or other asset-intensive operations preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong analytical, forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, lookup functions, and automation.

• Proficiency with Power BI, including dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, and visualization.

• Working knowledge of SQL, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 applications.

• Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, fleet utilization, and operational planning principles.

• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate clear, actionable business recommendations.

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Strong attention to data accuracy, consistency, and process improvement.

• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines.

Pay Range for All Locations Listed:

$53,637.03 - $85,840.79

This range represents the low and high ends of the Agiliti pay range for this position. This base pay range information is based on the market locations shown. For sales positions, this range combines the base salary and the target incentive pay. The actual pay offered may vary depending on several factors including geographic location, experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and related factors.
