Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

  • Hiring rate: $26.13 per hour

  • Post-certification: $31.76–$32.91 per hour

Shift: 1st shift (certification period and ongoing)

What’s a typical day as a Welder? You’ll be:

  • Setting up, tacking, and welding ferrous and nonferrous materials according to specifications

  • Utilizing welding procedure specifications and adhering to all applicable welding codes

  • Performing welding duties with an emphasis on both quality and appearance

  • Cutting, grinding, fitting, and bending parts for weldments as needed

  • Cleaning and deburring welds to meet customer and code requirements

  • Collaborating with team members to assemble and weld large components

  • Conducting testing and inspection of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Performing weld rework and repairs as required, and salvaging/rebuilding parts as directed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Are a U.S. Person (ITAR requirement)

  • Have the ability to certify in structural weld (400 level)

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training in welding

  • Are comfortable reading complicated drawings, using welding symbols, shop math, and shop tools

  • Can pass any required welding tests (including AWS, ISO, MIL STD, International, ASNT)

  • Hold GMAW Certification or have 3-5 years of equivalent welding experience (required)

  • Have previous experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment (preferred)

  • Have experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and associated equipment (preferred)
