Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support human resources operations for a growing manufacturing company in Aston, Pennsylvania. This role will handle a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR records management. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day HR operations for plant and office employees.

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding.

  • Administer new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process.

  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, and HR programs.

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, leave administration, and workers’ compensation coordination.

  • Support employee relations efforts by addressing workplace concerns and escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.

  • Coordinate performance review processes, disciplinary documentation, and policy acknowledgments.

  • Partner with managers on staffing needs, employee engagement, attendance issues, and retention initiatives.

  • Track HR metrics and prepare reports related to headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and recruiting activity.

  • Support training and development initiatives, including safety and compliance-related programs in partnership with operations leadership.

  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and employee experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial setting.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations procedures.

  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred.

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.
