Restaurant Manager Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, based on business needs Schedule: Open availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays Compensation: $50,000 - $52,000 per year Position Summary Bethesda Theater is seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to oversee food and beverage operations and help deliver an exceptional guest experience. The Restaurant Manager will supervise front-of-house staff, coordinate service during performances and special events, and ensure restaurant operations run efficiently, professionally, and safely. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day restaurant and front-of-house operations. Supervise, train, schedule, and support servers, hosts, and server assistants. Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve guest concerns. Coordinate restaurant operations with theater performances, private events, and special programs. Monitor opening and closing procedures. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, presentation, food safety, and guest service. Uphold and model the theater's appearance and dress code standards for the front-of-house team. Assist with inventory, supplies, and restaurant operating needs. Communicate effectively with theater management, culinary staff, event staff, and other team members. Help create an efficient and positive working environment. Ensure staff follow company policies and applicable health and safety standards. Qualifications College education or years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry. Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food-and-beverage management experience preferred. Strong leadership and customer-service skills. Ability to supervise and motivate a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced event and hospitality environment. Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Toast POS experience is required. Appearance and Professional Standards Front-of-house team members are the face of Bethesda Theater. All team members are expected to: Arrive for every shift neat, clean, and well groomed. Follow the Bethesda Theater dress code, including required attire and name badge. Maintain a polished, professional, and welcoming presence with guests and coworkers. Follow food-safety appearance standards, such as clean attire and hair secured during food and beverage service. Grooming and dress standards are applied equally to all team members and are consistent with applicable law, including protections for natural hair textures and protective hairstyles.
