Cardiology & Vascular Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)
St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Chicago, Illinois
St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a dedicatedNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join our growing Cardiovascular & Vascular team. The APP will provide inpatient and outpatient care in collaboration with cardiologists and vascular specialists, managing patients with a broad range of cardiac and vascular conditions.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical exams.

Diagnose and manage cardiovascular and vascular conditions, including heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, peripheral arterial disease, and venous disorders.

Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including ECGs, echocardiograms, vascular studies, laboratory testing, and cardiac monitoring.

Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management.

Round on hospitalized patients and provide outpatient follow-up care.

Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers.

Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Assist with cardiovascular and vascular procedures as appropriate.
Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Current Illinois APRN or PA license.

National certification.
-
DEA registration or eligibility.
-
BLS certification.
-
Experience in cardiology, vascular surgery, cardiovascular surgery, critical care, hospital medicine, or related specialty.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000.00 to $140,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
