Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing capabilities in precision coating and web processing technologies and applying them to new products and processes.
• Ensuring successful technology scale-up from laboratory to manufacturing.
• Characterizing and analyzing physical properties of fluids, dispersions, and substrates.
• Presenting results in a clear and concise manner to multidisciplinary teams.
• Initiating and contributing to the development of intellectual property.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Currently possess or be in final year of Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Enjoy hands-on mechanical and experimental work

• Experience running experiments and applying the scientific method

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

• Work well both in multi-disciplinary teams and independently

• Methodical, problem-solving attitude

• Understanding of materials properties, rheology, metrology, and process equipment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with one of the common CAD systems such as AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.

• Previous or current 3M Internship, Co-Op or Tech Aide experience

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $81,983 - $100,202, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
