The Opportunity

Are you passionate about industrial automation, manufacturing software, and solving complex technical challenges?

We're looking for an experienced MES Engineer to join our growing Systems Integration team. In this role, you'll help leading manufacturers modernize their operations by designing and implementing innovative software solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including Ignition Perspective, Sepasoft MES, Python, SQL, and REST APIs, delivering solutions that make a measurable impact on manufacturing performance.

Our engineers work on everything from standalone software applications to large-scale manufacturing projects, including new greenfield facilities. Many of our projects involve developing first-of-their-kind solutions to solve real-world operational challenges.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, collaborate with talented engineering professionals, and make a direct impact on how some of the world's leading companies manufacture their products.

What You'll Do

As an MES Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing software solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle.

MES & Software Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy applications using Ignition Perspective and Sepasoft MES, with a primary focus on OEE solutions.

  • Develop software integrations involving SQL databases, data collection, reporting, Python scripting, and REST APIs.

  • Create applications that provide actionable insights into manufacturing performance, equipment utilization, downtime, and production efficiency.

  • Translate manufacturing requirements into scalable, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions.

Project Execution & Implementation

  • Participate in all phases of project delivery, including requirements gathering, system architecture, development, testing, commissioning, and startup.

  • Support the implementation of new manufacturing systems and the modernization of existing production facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize applications to ensure reliable performance in industrial environments.

  • Manage multiple projects and technical responsibilities while maintaining quality and meeting project deadlines.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

  • Partner directly with clients to understand operational challenges, define project requirements, and develop effective technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex automation and manufacturing projects.

  • Communicate technical concepts and project progress to engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developing engineers.

  • Travel to client facilities as needed to support implementation, commissioning, and system startup.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a technically strong, solutions-oriented engineer who enjoys combining software development with real-world manufacturing applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration, SCADA, MES, or industrial software development.

  • Hands-on experience developing applications using Ignition Perspective.

  • Strong understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing software environments.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience managing multiple technical responsibilities and projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with clients, vendors, and engineering teams.

  • Ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers.

  • Willingness to travel as required for project execution, commissioning, and startup activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and implementing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) applications.

  • Hands-on experience with the Sepasoft MES platform.

  • Proficiency in Python scripting, SQL databases, reporting tools, and REST API integrations.

  • Understanding of manufacturing IT/OT infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, operating systems, servers, and databases.

  • Experience integrating manufacturing software with industrial control systems and production equipment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
