Let’s Build the Future of Learning Join us to design and deliver AI-powered learning tools that scale across the world and unlock human potential.

Why Join Quizlet? 🌎 Massive reach: 60M+ users, 1B+ interactions per week 🧠 Cutting-edge tech: Generative AI, adaptive learning, cognitive science 📈 Strong momentum: Top-tier investors, sustainable business, real traction 🎯 Mission-first: Work that makes a difference in people’s lives 🤝 Inclusive culture: Committed to equity, diversity, and belonging

About the Role: You own paid growth at Quizlet. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with real budget authority: you decide where the money goes, you work with our growth agency to execute, and you are accountable for what comes back. You'll work alongside our brand social, lifecycle, and product marketing leads — paid is where their work gets amplified and where we find out what actually converts.

In this role, you will:

  • Own paid acquisition end-to-end across our core channels — paid social, search, app install, and emerging placements — from strategy and budget allocation via daily optimization of creative down through ongoing refinement of landing pages.

  • Evaluate and direct growth agency partnerships on paid execution: decide what stays in-house versus what they run; set the brief, hold the work to our standards, and refine the execution loop.

  • Own the measurement story — attribution, incrementality testing, and the CAC and payback math that tells us whether a channel deserves more budget. You're expected to defend these numbers to leadership and change your mind when the data says to.

  • Evolve the creative testing engine in partnership with Brand, Social, and Design — turning organic winners into paid assets, and feeding performance learnings back into what the content teams make.

  • Own our app store presence across iOS and Google Play: keep listings current and test screenshots, copy, and metadata to lift conversion on the installs you buy, in coordination with Product Marketing and with an eye out for opportunities to deepen our partnerships.

  • Run acquisition against our seasonal shape. Our business spikes hard around back-to-school, finals, and other similar times; you plan budget and creative against those peaks rather than spending evenly across the year.

  • Partner with Lifecycle to connect acquisition to activation, so the users you buy actually become users we keep.

  • Forecast and report on spend, efficiency, and contribution to new user and subscription growth, and bring a clear point of view on where the next dollar should go. This work includes working closely with engineering and data science.

What you bring to the table:

  • Deep hands-on experience owning paid media budgets across multiple channels, with direct accountability for efficiency targets.

  • Strong analytical foundation — comfortable with attribution's limits, incrementality testing, cohort analysis, and LTV/CAC modeling, and able to explain all of it to people who aren't marketers.

  • Comfort delving into the technical foundations of the practice, from creative to data and everything in between; you should be able to build dashboards, describe tracking and segmentation needs, and help partners in engineering diagnose and troubleshoot issues

  • Experience managing agencies or vendors: briefing them well, raising the quality of what comes back, and knowing when to bring work in-house.

  • Creative judgment. You can look at an ad and have an opinion about why it will or won't work, and you partner well with the people who make them.

  • Consumer subscription or app experience, ideally with a product that has strong seasonality or a Gen Z audience.

  • Recognized authority in your field — cross-functional partners seek out your opinion — with the judgment to make independent calls and prioritize against department goals without being told.

  • Self-starter; proactive by nature, with a bias toward action over deliberation.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience marketing to students, or in education, consumer apps, or a freemium subscription business.

  • Experience standing up measurement infrastructure (MMM, geo testing, or similar) rather than just consuming it.

  • Comfort working directly in the ad platforms rather than only through a dashboard.
