Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a LIMS Project Manager for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing and life sciences organization. This individual will be responsible for leading enterprise laboratory system initiatives, with a primary focus on LIMS implementation, laboratory instrument integrations, and custom system configurations. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering large-scale projects within regulated environments and possess exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with laboratory teams, IT leadership, vendors, and executive stakeholders. This person will drive project planning, governance, risk management, budget oversight, and successful execution from initiation through deployment. Candidates with experience implementing LabWare LIMS are highly preferred, though experience with other major LIMS platforms will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to support a high-impact digital transformation initiative while working primarily remote with occasional travel as needed.

Day-to-Day: Lead end-to-end LIMS implementation projects across multiple laboratory environments Partner with business, laboratory, quality, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource allocation Oversee instrument integrations and data flow between laboratory systems and enterprise applications Coordinate custom LIMS configurations and enhancements with vendors and technical teams Facilitate project status meetings and provide executive-level updates Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and change management activities Ensure adherence to regulatory, validation, and quality requirements Manage external vendors, implementation partners, and third-party resources Support user acceptance testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live activities Ensure successful handoff to support and operational teams following implementation

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives Hands-on experience implementing LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) Experience integrating laboratory instruments with LIMS platforms Experience leading custom configuration and enhancement efforts within LIMS environments Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or highly regulated industry experience Experience managing vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional project teams Proven ability to lead projects from planning through deployment and stabilization Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and project governance methodologies LabWare LIMS implementation experience Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) PMP Certification Agile/Scrum certification or Scrum Master experience Experience with laboratory operations, quality systems, or manufacturing environments Experience with data migration and system integrations in regulated environments
