Description

Prinsco is looking for a Director of Maintenance Reliability who can help us take the next step in how we manage, maintain, and improve our manufacturing assets.

This is more than a traditional maintenance leadership role - this role is for a Builder. We're looking for someone who can build a world-class reliability program across our manufacturing network, creating the systems, standards, technical capability, and accountability to move us from reactive maintenance toward a more proactive, predictive, and data-driven approach. The right leader will be equally comfortable setting the organization-wide reliability strategy and walking the production floor with plant and maintenance teams. You'll need to understand what is happening with the equipment, ask the right questions, coach problem-solving, establish practical standards, and help ensure those standards translate into sustainable execution in our plants.

With nine U.S. production plants and 34 production lines, this role has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on equipment reliability, uptime, safety, cost, and overall manufacturing performance. This role reports to the COO.

What You Will Own:

  • Building and advancing our maintenance reliability strategy, roadmap, standards, systems, training, and governance.

  • Developing preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices that improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Creating greater discipline around maintenance planning and scheduling, including work orders, backlog management, PM compliance, shutdown planning, and coordination with Operations.

  • Establishing standards for critical spare parts, MRO inventory, contractors, vendors, and maintenance best practices.

  • Leading root cause analysis, failure mode analysis, A3, and corrective-action efforts to eliminate recurring equipment failures.

  • Partnering across Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure reliability priorities support the needs of the business.

  • Building technical capability within our maintenance teams through training, skills development, apprenticeship support, coaching, leadership development, and succession planning.

  • Driving improvement in equipment availability, plant uptime, maintenance cost, PM effectiveness, emergency work, and overall equipment effectiveness.

What You Bring

We're looking for a leader with:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, engineering, or manufacturing leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, controls, PLC/HMI environments, material handling, utilities, and plant infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated success implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, maintenance planning and scheduling, CMMS discipline, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

  • Experience working with maintenance budgets, MRO spend, vendors, contractors, capital projects, and cross-functional efforts.

  • The ability to build programs, establish standards and KPIs, develop people, and create sustainable execution across multiple locations.

  • Experience in plastics, extrusion, corrugated HDPE pipe, building products, packaging, continuous manufacturing, or similar industrial manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, maintenance management, operations management, or related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

  • CMRP, CRL, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar maintenance/reliability training is a plus!

What We Offer

  • A high-impact leadership opportunity with the ability to shape our maintenance and reliability strategy.

  • The opportunity to build, not simply maintain. You will help define the reliability roadmap, establish standards, strengthen systems, and develop the technical capability needed to support our manufacturing organization.

  • Meaningful partnership across the business. You will work closely with plant managers and leaders across Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Purchasing, and Finance to solve equipment and business challenges.

  • A hands-on manufacturing environment where spending time on the production floor, developing people, solving problems, and improving how we operate are integral parts of the role.

  • Competitive compensation package

  • A purpose-driven organization grounded in our values of Hard Work, Relationships, Humility, and Integrity and our mission: To care. To contribute. To solve.
