Job Description
This position will be onsite in: Newark, NJ. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from Newark, NJ to be eligible for this role. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
Job Profile Summary
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities.
Essential Functions
Manages facilities in accordance with corporate standards ensuring courteous, professional and transparent properties and facilities services.
Maintains and oversees a company's grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional.
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline/equivalent or in Engineering.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, emergency power systems, building automation systems and/or package handling equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough working knowledge of engineering and architectural drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulics, pneumatics, structural and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of finance and strong computer skills.
Strong basic leadership, management, human relations and communications skills.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Valid driver's license.
