The Bar Manager oversees daily operations of the bar to ensure excellent customer service, a safe and welcoming environment, and smooth business performance. This role is responsible for staffing, inventory, financial tracking, and maintaining high standards for both the front-of-house team and overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency and quality service. • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff, bartenders, and servers. • Maintain inventory levels; order and manage stock for beverages, supplies, and equipment. • Handle cash management, nightly deposits, and basic financial reporting. • Ensure compliance with local alcohol service laws, health codes, and safety standards. • Create and update drink menus, specials, and promotional events. • Address customer questions, feedback, or issues promptly and professionally. • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and atmosphere of the bar area. • Collaborate with ownership on budgets, staffing needs, and operational improvements. • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and corrective action when needed. • Promote a positive team culture and ensure consistent, friendly customer service. Qualifications: • Prior experience as a bartender, shift lead, or similar role (management experience preferred). • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Knowledge of beverage preparation, bar equipment, and industry trends. • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Reliable, organized, and comfortable handling fast-paced environments. • Basic financial and inventory management skills. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for long periods. • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. • Comfort working in a busy, noisy environment. Wage is dependent on experience.
