Nurse Practitioner *FNP/ANP*

Job Description#### Practice of registered professional nursing by a nurse practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols.#### Education And Credentials#### #### #### Completion of masters, post-masters or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN. Current active RN and NP license in NYS. National NP certification (internal hire required upon transfer into new position; external hire required at the time of application). Current BLS required, ACLS preferred. DEA or DEA eligible. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement.#### ExperienceAt least 2 years of clinical nursing experience. Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (i.e. IM/FM/med-surg) as RN or NP preferred.
