Title: Coordinator, Purchasing III
Location: United States-Arkansas-Hot Springs-Triumph Airborne Structures
Job Number: 18903
Performs a variety of purchasing duties. Maintains records and files with pertinent purchasing information. Compiles, records, and tracks purchasing data, activities, and pricing. Checks deliveries of materials ordered, and shipments received. Within prescribed limits, takes actions to ensure on-time delivery of materials. Coordinates returns of rejected or unsuitable orders. Responds to requests for purchasing data and status of material activities.
§ Knows and understands company and department policies and safety procedures.
§ Works with vendors to obtain products or service information such as pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
§ Prints reports to know what parts to purchase.
§ Locates parts with acceptable tracing, pricing, and lead times.
§ Prepares purchase orders (PO) and bid requests.
§ Sets up vendors for purchases.
§ Works with vendors to determine order statuses.
§ Interfaces with all departments to resolve problems and issues with purchased items.
§ Runs a purchase order status report, weekly.
§Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
§ Read, write, and understand English fluently.
§ Ability to learn and understand and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
§ High school and two years of office/clerical related education and experience.
§ Associate of Arts degree in a related discipline and one year of related technician education/experience.
§ High school and 2 years of related production/maintenance education/experience with certification in assigned area preferred.
