Full job description

Under supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse will assist with the care of acutely ill patients and provides nursing care for convalescent and chronically ill patients. May supervise auxiliary nursing staff such as aides and attendants. The LPN will perform routing nursing activities in the care and treatment of patients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. Completion of a course of study approved by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse, AND B. Eligibility for a New York State Practical Nurse License. Possession of the license at the time of permanent appointment. APPLICATION DEADLINE: APPLICATIONS FROM COUNTY EMPLOYEES MUST BE FILED BY 5:00 P.M. ON 10/19/2026.
