IT Audit Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced IT Audit Manager to support a long-term contract engagement based in Overland Park, Kansas. This role is ideal for a hands-on audit specialist who can independently lead multiple technology-focused reviews while partnering effectively with internal stakeholders. The engagement centers on delivering high-quality audit results across key risk areas and producing clear, well-supported reports within established timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and complete three separate IT audits focused on data governance, IT asset management, and cybersecurity.

• Plan audit scope, perform risk assessments, and execute fieldwork with minimal day-to-day oversight.

• Prepare thorough audit documentation and develop distinct final reports for each review.

• Coordinate early on-site engagement activities in Overland Park, Kansas, then transition to primarily remote work as the assignment progresses.

• Work closely with the internal IT audit team member to align efforts, share insight, and maintain audit momentum.

• Drive audit activities to meet year-end fieldwork deadlines while supporting reporting deliverables that may continue into January.

• Present findings, control observations, and practical recommendations to leadership in a clear and well-structured manner. Requirements • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credential required.

• Demonstrated experience leading information systems audits in a senior or manager-level capacity.

• Strong knowledge of IT general controls, risk assessment, and audit execution methodologies.

• Background performing Sarbanes-Oxley testing within technology or compliance environments.

• Ability to manage multiple audit workstreams independently and deliver high-quality results on schedule.

• Strong written communication skills with experience producing formal audit reports and supporting documentation.

• Effective collaboration skills and comfort working with both on-site and remote teams.
