Role: HCL Domino Administrator

Location: Dallas, Texas; Texas City, Texas

Role Summary

Administer and support a highly customized HCL Domino (Lotus Notes) enterprise application platform underpinning a large-scale case management business process. Own day-to-day infrastructure operations across production, disaster-recovery, development, web, mail, and reporting servers, and build the documentation and knowledge base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Domino server infrastructure across primary and disaster-recovery data centers, including clustering, replication, and backup/recovery processes.

  • Manage Domino Directory, mail routing, replication, clustering, and server performance.

  • Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and migration activities across Domino environments.

  • Manage user administration: account provisioning/deprovisioning, password resets, and access/security / certificate management.

  • Monitor server health, performance, and availability across development, production application, web, administrative, mail, and reporting servers.

  • Maintain the Domino security framework, including access control lists (ACLs), authentication, and web access configuration.

  • Coordinate with HCL vendor support for Domino platform and infrastructure-level issues; track and escalate defects within HCL's supported scope.

  • Support disaster-recovery readiness: maintain replicated systems, clustered application servers, and backup web servers at the secondary site.

  • Partner with the Domino development function and business stakeholders to assess the operational impact of upgrades (Domino, Windows, Office, DB2) on production workflows.

  • Create and maintain administration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and dependency maps.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on HCL Domino/Lotus Notes administration, including server clustering, replication, and ID/certificate management.

  • Experience administering Domino in a multi-server, multi-site (production/DR) environment.

  • Domino Replication & Clustering

  • Working knowledge of Domino security models, ACLs, and web (iNotes/HTTP) access configuration.

  • Experience with backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures for Domino infrastructure.

  • Exposure to integrated reporting environments (e.g., DB2-backed).

  • Ability to operate with minimal existing documentation and proactively produce architecture/runbook documentation.

  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills for a high-availability, business-critical application platform.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HCL Domino administrator certification.

  • Experience supporting (8+ years), heavily customized Domino environments.

  • Prior experience in insurance, claims, warranty, or automotive-adjacent case management operations.

  • Familiarity with transitioning legacy platforms with tribal knowledge
