General Farmworker

During this period when cattle are confined employees will need to feed the cattle and keep water wells working properly. Builds & cleans corrals/shelters as needed. Vaccinate, administer medication and pregnancy check cows. Assist with sorting, weighing, branding and low stress handling. Maintain all fences, corrals, buildings, improvements and livestock equipment used for proper cattle management and observe safe practices. Must have knowledge of building and repair of fences and cattle handling. The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals. Employees will be provided with an employer owned vehicle to drive to and from work and to town for errands. Daily transportation schedule will coincide with the work schedule outlined on this application, or as agreed upon between employer and employee based on seasonal demands and/or workload. The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
