If you're passionate about delivering excellent service and ensuring a smooth operation of building systems, this is the role for you!Role Overview: * Inspect, test, and operate building machinery and equipment to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently. * Maintain, repair, replace, and install parts of the physical plant equipment. * Maintains all documents for routine maintenance, service requests and inventory per department policies. * Provide courteous, professional customer service when responding to requests and inquiries. * Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure workspace while properly caring for tools and equipment. * Ensure the safety of employees and visitors by protecting MSKCC buildings, assets, and premises. * Adhere to safety and infection control standards set by institutional and regulatory bodies.Key Qualifications: * Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. * Eager to take on new challenges with energy and passion. * Able to work effectively with complex information. * Collaborative and team-oriented with a focus on shared goals. * Adaptable to changing situations and demands. * FDNY Q-01 Refrigerating System Operating Engineer certification required. * Relevant NYC certifications Preferred: A35, S12, S13, P98, B29, F60, G60 (all required within 6 months of employment)Core Skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. * Ability to handle routine and non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
