Department Overview

Vanguard's Enterprise Client division manages relationships with our largest and most strategic institutional clients. These relationships are led by C-suite and senior client-facing officers who need complete visibility into how Vanguard engages with each client, across contacts, meetings, and organizational hierarchies, to build trust and deepen partnerships over time.

Today, this intelligence is fragmented. We're building a centralized relationship management platform that captures engagement data effortlessly, maps relationships across both organizations, and surfaces AI-driven insights on relationship health at the contact and firm level.

We're seeking a Product Manager to own this platform end-to-end, from discovery through scaled adoption, delivering capabilities that help Vanguard's senior leaders walk into every client interaction fully prepared and follow up with precision.

Role Overview

The Enterprise Client Relationship Management Platform Product Manager is an individual contributor responsible for building Vanguard's relationship intelligence platform for enterprise client coverage. You'll own the product from early discovery through production, defining what to build, partnering across functions to deliver it, and measuring whether it's working.

The users are senior executives and client-facing officers. The goal is trust-building and relationship depth with Vanguard's most strategic clients.

What You'll OwnProblem Discovery & Product Definition

  • Lead continuous discovery with executives and senior client-facing officers to understand how they prepare for, conduct, and follow up on client engagements.

  • Define what to build, for whom, and in what order, translating relationship management complexity into clear product requirements.

  • Map the end-to-end client engagement lifecycle and identify where technology creates the highest-leverage interventions.

Platform Build & Execution

  • Own the platform roadmap from MVP through scaled adoption.

  • Drive phased delivery from scoping pilots, defining success criteria, and making scale/no-scale decisions based on evidence.

  • Make scope and sequencing trade-offs under constraints (compliance, data availability, integration complexity, executive user expectations).

  • Drive build/buy/partner decisions for platform capabilities, evaluating CRM and relationship intelligence solutions against platform requirements.

AI-Enabled Relationship Intelligence

  • Define how AI and natural language interfaces surface within the platform to augment executive decision-making and relationship management.

  • Evaluate agentic AI opportunities that augment executive workflows.

UX & Engineering

  • Partner with UX to design experiences that match how senior executives work.

  • Partner with Engineering to build the platform solution.

Product Analytics & Metrics

  • Define how we measure platform success and make scale/no-scale decisions.

  • Establish baselines, run rigorous pilots, and use data to drive roadmap prioritization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated strength in discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, solutioning, and cross-functional delivery.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/BBA) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience building or significantly evolving CRM or relationship intelligence platforms.

  • Experience shipping AI/ML-powered product capabilities in production.

  • Strong UX sensibility.

  • Rigorous product analytics skills. You define metrics, instrument products, and use data to make decisions.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills - you partner effectively with Engineering, Data Science, UX, and business stakeholders.

  • Experience with enterprise or B2B products.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in regulated financial services or institutional client management.

  • Background in relationship intelligence, CRM platforms, or executive-facing tools.

  • Experience building AI products with natural language interfaces.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Affinity, or comparable relationship management platforms.

  • Experience driving adoption with senior/executive user populations.

Why This Role

You'll build the relationship intelligence platform for Vanguard's most strategic client partnerships from the ground up, with executive sponsorship and real organizational need. You'll define how AI augments human relationship management at the highest level of the firm.
