Our client seeks a SAM team member to develop and integrate SBOM solutions that collect, process, normalize, enrich, correlate, and report software component data. The role will build ServiceNow SAM and SBOM capabilities, create integrations across toolchains such as GitLab and JFrog Artifactory, and align SBOM data with licensing, entitlement, and inventory sources to support compliance and risk identification.

Rate: $90.00 to $101.50/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

Develop, test, implement, and support solutions for collecting, processing, validating, normalizing, enriching, integrating, and reporting SBOM data.

Translate approved business and functional requirements into technical requirements, user stories, development tasks, and working solutions.
-
Develop integrations and automation between GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Technopedia/DejaCode, and other supporting systems.

Develop processes to identify and normalize commercial, open-source, and embedded software components and associate them with applications and software records.

Correlate SBOM component data with software license, entitlement, and inventory data to support license compliance and risk identification.
-
Support CycloneDX and SPDX formats and identification standards including CVE, CPE, and PURL.
-
Develop reporting, dashboards, data-quality monitoring, and exception handling for SBOM processes.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve integration, processing, and data-quality issues.
-
Develop, configure, test, and support ServiceNow SAM solutions and the SBOM Module following platform best practices.

Build solutions for discovery, normalization, licensing, entitlements, reconciliation, compliance, optimization, lifecycle management, approvals, and unauthorized software remediation.

Maintain ServiceNow request management capabilities including catalog items, RITMs, approvals, tasks, notifications, routing, and automated workflows.
-
Develop and maintain integrations, APIs, scripts, workflows, scheduled processes, reports, and automation supporting SAM processes.

Collaborate with ITAM Solutions and ServiceNow Platform teams to ensure alignment with standards and technical requirements.

Review ServiceNow releases and support enhancements or changes affecting SAM and SBOM capabilities.
-
Use Agile practices and Jira to manage development tasks, stories, defects, testing, and delivery.
-
Perform developer and unit testing and support functional and user acceptance testing.
-
Maintain technical documentation and follow established change management and deployment processes.
-
Support implementation, knowledge transfer, production validation, and troubleshooting.
-
Manage multiple development activities and enhancements.
-
Participate in scheduled after-hours and weekend deployments, upgrades, releases, and production implementations.
Experience Requirements:
-
5+ years in ServiceNow development/configuration, Software Asset Management, systems integration, application development, or related implementation work.

Experience developing and configuring ServiceNow SAM solutions.
-
Understanding of SBOMs and software component management.
-
Experience with APIs, integrations, workflows, scripts, automation, and data processing.
-
Experience with ServiceNow Request Management, Service Catalog, RITMs, approvals, workflows, and fulfillment processes.
-
Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
-
Experience with REST APIs, web services, JSON, XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
-
Knowledge of SAM concepts including discovery, normalization, software models, licensing, entitlements, reconciliation, compliance, authorization, and lifecycle management.

Experience with Jira and Agile development practices.
-
Troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred: Advanced ServiceNow SAM and CMDB experience, Flexera experience, and integrations with GitLab and JFrog Artifactory.
