Position Overview
Nexstar Media Group is seeking a Video Project & Delivery Lead to drive the execution and implementation of strategic initiatives across our digital video and CTV app portfolio.
Reporting to the Vice President of Video Product Management, this role will work across product, technology, operations, content, sales, and station teams to turn roadmap priorities into successful launches. The ideal candidate combines strong program leadership with enough technical and operational knowledge to understand complex video initiatives, anticipate dependencies and risks, and keep teams aligned around timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
A major focus of this role over the next year will be leading the coordination and implementation of a large-scale infrastructure initiative involving multiple internal teams, technology partners, and stakeholders across Nexstar.
This is a highly execution-focused, cross-functional role for someone who excels at end-to-end delivery, bringing structure to complex initiatives, solving problems, and driving execution across a large organization with parallel workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
-
Drive execution of strategic initiatives across the Video Product roadmap from planning through implementation.
-
Develop and manage quarterly program plans with milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and launch criteria.
-
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Advertising, Analytics, Sales, Content, technical station teams, producers, and external vendors. Work with program managers/product delivery to handle releases for cross-functional teams.
-
Identify project risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and blockers and drive them toward resolution.
-
Serve as Scrum master for core video and CTV development teams. Manage sprints, standups, Jira flows, planning meetings, and more.
-
Establish clear operating rhythms and provide concise updates with documentation on program status, decisions, risks, budgets, and upcoming milestones.
-
Coordinate operational readiness for product and platform launches, including documentation, testing, stakeholder communications, training, and support.
-
Help establish repeatable processes and rollout playbooks that allow video initiatives to scale effectively across Nexstar.
-
Maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners.
-
Ensure projects are not only delivered successfully but effectively adopted and operationalized across the organization.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience leading complex programs within digital media, streaming video, CTV apps, broadcast, and/or related industries.
-
Proven success managing large, cross-functional technology implementations involving multiple teams and external partners.
-
Strong understanding of program delivery, including scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risk management, testing, and operational readiness.
-
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
-
Experience with Scrum and Agile development methods. Bonus if you have a background as a Scrum Master.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
-
Comfortable working through ambiguity and creating structure around complex problems.
-
Demonstrated ability with a bias toward action, to influence teams and drive outcomes without direct authority.
-
Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience with streaming video, OTT/CTV, digital media, broadcast television, and/or video platform operations.
-
Knowledge of the CTV landscape and platforms, with app publishing experience preferred.
-
Experience leading video platform, infrastructure, or technology implementations.
-
Familiarity with live and on-demand video workflows, content management, distribution, advertising, and analytics.
-
Experience working with geographically distributed teams and technology vendors.
-
Experience with Agile product-development environments.
What Success Looks Like
You will bring organization, visibility, and accountability to a growing portfolio of video initiatives. You will help ensure that roadmap commitments move from strategy to successful implementation, surface risks before they become blockers, and create scalable processes for launching and operating video capabilities across Nexstar.
Most importantly, you will help the Video Product team maintain focus on what we should build and why, while providing the execution leadership necessary to ensure that major initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and successfully adopted by the business.
