Summary
About the Position: As Program Manager (Operations) in the U. S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory(USACIL) providing operations support services and oversight for USACIL branches and other command laboratories' staff proponents in the coordination of staff actions and the verification that tasking requirements are met in a timely manner with the highest quality to support the forensic analysis mission
Duties
- Serve as a Project Lead for emerging issues, new initiatives, and highly technical operational matters related to forensic analysis.
- Evaluate emerging laboratory technology, software, and branch resources to verify capabilities meet stringent operational and forensic standards
- Develop and coordinate institutional regulations, operational policies, organizational designs, and materiel solutions.
- Monitor and oversee forensic analyses case flow, technical support services, and operational metrics to maximize overall laboratory productivity.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing and coordinating regulations, policies, and guidelines for forensic operations; managing scientific programs and projects by planning tasks, milestones, and schedules in compliance with international accreditation standards (such as ISO); monitoring and evaluating forensic analyses case flow and technical resources to ensure operational capabilities and productivity; and providing recommendations to leadership on resource planning, operational requirements, and program effectiveness based on detailed analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Influencing/Negotiating Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
