We are currently seeking a Mainframe Microfocus Dev to join our team in Addison, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Overview NTT DATA is seeking an experienced resource to work with a major Insurance client. The role involves building applications in Microfocus. The role requires technical, domain level and specialist skills to ensure that all the engineering services are operated, maintained and constantly upgraded as technology advances. There can be multiple functions within the job involving multiple products and technologies. Including but not limited to programming, support to maintain essential environmental conditions & analysis – creating functional/technical design solutions. The job holder may specialize in a single or combination of those functions/technologies.

Day to Day job Duties:

• Attending the client Meetings to understand the client requirements and provide technical solutions to build critical applications in Mainframe and Microfocus

• Researching and writing down the technical changes involved as per the client requirements, identifying dependencies of different systems and prepare Technical Specification document

• Analyzing existing programs in Mainframe and subsequently making the changes/developing the new programs as per business requirement with Efficiency, no redundancy, Flexibility & futuristic.

• Attending stand up meetings and review meetings to know progress of various activities and how the product is shaping up.

• Technical activities include developing code in (COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICS, DB2, Webservices CICS) technologies and testing based on the requirements which got from the clients upon the product/system enhancement.

• Perform code and design reviews to ensure that the deliverables adhere to the project guidelines

• Testing (Unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)) of all the changes done for the project through different test cases and later evaluate the results to make sure test results are as expected

• Providing SIT and UAT support and production roll outs. • Review code delivery and manage the defect tracking. • Timely resolution of abends/obstacles in testing Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years mainframe development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Microfocus Nice to Have:

• Project lead experience Travel: Preferred locations are Addison, Texas and Monteplier, Vermont

Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $96,000-121,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
