Ramboll's Data Center Facilities team (formerly EYP Mission Critical Facilities) is a pioneer and leader in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning and Testing with experience working in thousands of data centers in the U.S. and across the globe. We provide a broad set of services for enterprise, institutional, web scale, service provider and colocation companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead commissioning activities for mechanical and/or electrical systems, including planning, directing, documenting, and executing on-site testing for large-scale facility and data center projects.

Review project documentation, including design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and commissioning plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.

Develop, coordinate, and execute commissioning procedures, functional performance tests, factory witness tests, and site-specific commissioning plans for systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, fuel oil, and BMS controls.

Manage commissioning deliverables including logs, equipment checklists, test documentation, deficiency reports, progress reports, meeting minutes, and final commissioning reports.

Lead commissioning meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, testing technicians, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project execution and resolution of commissioning issues.

Support project management efforts by coordinating resources, maintaining schedules, providing exceptional client service, and ensuring all commissioning activities are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military or industrial training.

8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of direct data center commissioning experience.

Previous data center and/or mission-critical facility experience.
-
Experience commissioning and/or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Experience working with general contractors and communicating project requirements and expectations effectively.

Knowledge of major regulations, industry codes, standards, construction materials, means, and methods.

Data center commissioning experience required.

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $165,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
