Full job description

The Vote Center Coordinator is responsible in answering inbound calls, clarifying desired information, and forwarding requests to appropriate personnel. Assists with troubleshooting election questions for incoming callers. Be knowledgeable and understand the general operations of an election. Provide support to administrators on various administrative projects. Able to assist Election staff with inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tracking, retrieving, filing, and documenting contract execution.
  • Maintains accurate files and spreadsheets.
  • Searching for replacement voting centers.
  • Making reservations of voting centers.
  • Make and receive calls daily.
  • Cross-train to assist in other areas within the Operations department.

Must meet all eligibility requirements to register to vote in the State of Texas.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, document scanners, and other office equipment

  • May have to lift up to 35 pounds for election related tasks

  • Sedentary role sitting for prolong periods

  • Call center experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Harris County election processes are a plus.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

  • Temp Full-time | Position End Date: 12/18/2026. This is a temporary position being onboarded through a Harris County–contracted agency.

  • Monday - Friday | 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

  • 40 hours/week | Ability to work overtime hours as required during election cycles

  • Blackout dates will be provided

  • Periodic travel required.

  • $17.00 Hourly

Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
