Job Description

As design and engineering scale across LNRS Government Solutions portfolios, maintaining strict accessibility compliance and product quality is paramount. This role exists to serve as our resident expert and go-to authority on accessibility (A11y), operating fluently across both design and code. You will act as a force multiplier for our existing teams. You will partner closely with distributed engineering teams and design contributors to embed WCAG standards directly into multiple codebases. You will be the primary resource responsible for replacing agency dependencies by owning manual audits, managing VPATs, and ensuring our digital products remain ADA-compliant and accessible to all users. This role supports a diverse portfolio of government-facing products spanning Public Safety, Civilian, Identity & Fraud, and Vital Records solutions. Success in this position requires the ability to work across multiple product teams, establish scalable accessibility standards, and drive compliance across both legacy and modern

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years spanning digital product design, UX engineering, accessibility consulting, or dedicated digital accessibility roles, with a proven track record of auditing complex enterprise systems.
  • Accessibility Expertise: Expert knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ARIA authoring practices, assistive technologies, screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and ADA compliance implementation.
  • Accessibility Certification: Active IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS, or WAS+) strongly preferred.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong front-end literacy, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals, and familiarity reviewing React, Angular, or similar modern web applications.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to assess fragmented product experiences, identify systemic compliance risks, and build scalable solutions through design systems and governance frameworks.
  • Evangelism & Education: Experience building accessibility documentation, conducting training sessions, hosting office hours, and mentoring teams on inclusive design practices.
  • Collaboration: Ability to effectively partner with designers, researchers, engineers, legal teams, compliance stakeholders, and product leadership to drive organizational accessibility maturity.
  • Experience in government, public safety, identity verification, fraud prevention, healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience developing or scaling an internal accessibility champions network.
  • Experience supporting accessibility efforts across multiple product portfolios and shared design systems.
  • Familiarity with VPAT authoring, Section 508 requirements, and accessibility procurement standards.
