Full job description

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Veeva Business Analyst / Business Lead to support a large pharmaceutical client as they continue expanding and maturing their Veeva ecosystem across Pharmaceutical Sciences. This individual will serve as a key liaison between Large & Small Molecule business stakeholders, Digital teams, and core Veeva platform teams. The role will focus on understanding the business and downstream impact of Veeva implementations, enhancements, and platform changes across multiple user populations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of Veeva platform knowledge, business analysis, stakeholder management, and governance experience. While this individual will not be primarily responsible for hands-on system configuration, previous Veeva configuration or implementation experience is highly preferred in order to understand system behavior, dependencies, and the potential impact of platform changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary business-facing Veeva lead supporting PharmSci stakeholders and representing their needs within the broader Veeva ecosystem.
  • Partner with cross-functional business groups, Digital teams, and core Veeva platform teams to evaluate platform changes, enhancements, and new capabilities.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear functional needs and platform considerations.
  • Assess the downstream business and user impact of proposed Veeva changes across different functions and stakeholder populations.
  • Help determine whether proposed platform changes or enhancements align with PharmSci business processes, requirements, and long-term strategy.
  • Support Veeva-related decision-making by understanding system configuration, dependencies, integrations, and overall platform behavior.
  • Identify potential impacts when changes within one area of the Veeva ecosystem could affect other applications, processes, or user groups.
  • Support major Veeva initiatives impacting PharmSci, including Veeva RIM and Veeva QualityDocs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand impacts to regulatory, scientific, manufacturing, protocol, plan, report, and developmental study documentation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and help drive alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Support the transition of Veeva capabilities from implementation into an ongoing sustainment and governance model.
  • Help establish scalable processes for future platform enhancements, change evaluation, and business decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively across geographically dispersed teams, including stakeholders on the East Coast, West Coast, and in the UK.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with the Veeva platform within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Prior experience supporting Veeva implementation, configuration, or platform operations, beyond solely working as an end user.
  • Strong understanding of how Veeva configuration and platform changes can impact business processes and downstream users.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Experience performing business impact and change impact assessments for enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex system dependencies and evaluate the potential downstream impact of proposed changes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system governance, sustainment, or continuous-improvement activities.
  • Ability to operate independently and navigate a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience with Veeva Vault solutions, particularly Veeva RIM and/or Veeva QualityDocs.
  • Previous hands-on Veeva configuration experience.
  • Experience supporting Veeva implementations within Pharmaceutical Sciences, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, or Manufacturing organizations.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical document-management processes and regulated/GxP environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology deployments affecting multiple user populations.
  • Experience transitioning enterprise platforms from implementation into long-term governance and sustainment.
  • Prior experience working within a global pharmaceutical organization.
