DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the daily health needs of inmates by delivering direct nursing care and completing essential clinical tasks. The role helps maintain safe and consistent healthcare services within the facility. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties: 1. Patient Care: Provide basic nursing care, monitor conditions, and support daily living activities 2. Medication Tasks: Administer medications and treatments under clinical direction and document all actions 3. Clinical Procedures: Assist with tests, screenings, and restorative care while following established protocols 4. Emergency Response: Respond to urgent situations and deliver first aid, CPR, or AED when needed 5. Record Management: Update electronic health records and prepare required reports and documentation 6. Supply Maintenance: Maintain clean equipment, manage inventory, and ensure treatment areas stay stocked Interested in learning more? The Department of Corrections is staffed by 3 work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 3. 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; 2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; and 3rd shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM 4.
