Electrical Technician

The companys brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyles and Sidul.OVERVIEWElectrical Technician performs work associated with but not limited to maintenance and electrical work.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Must be able to work in a Safety Conscious Work Environment and willing to identify any safety concerns * Knowledge and experience in conducting maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, control and instrumentation equipment and infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. * Follow manufacturers guidelines on testing and maintaining plant equipment and identifying issues that may cause premature failures. * Troubleshoot using testing equipment and meters to identify issues with medium and low voltage, Allen Bradley PLCs, control and instrumentation equipment. * Must be familiar with repairing, servicing, calibrating and installing process instrumentation. Including but not limited to level, temperature (RTD and thermocouple), flow, pressure, absolute pressure, and analytical transmitters. * Must be familiar with repairing, servicing, calibrating and installing control valves and valve positioners, and current to air converters (4-20ma to 3-15psi). * Reading and understanding schematics, PIDs, manuals, manufacturers specifications, and diagrams in diagnosing the root causes of the problem. * Repair components that control and automate plant equipment. * Perform ancillary tasks to complement the job task not limited to operation of man lift, rigging, forklift operation and scaffolding erection. * Effective Oral and Written communication skills required * Must be available to work a rotating shift arrangement as required * Must be able to work most weekends and holidays to perform maintenance as required * Must have experience working with 480v starters and motors. * Must have experience with three term control - PIDRequired Experience * Preferred 2-3 years of experience working in industrial electrician position or equivalent.Required Education * High school diploma or GEDSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY * NoESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) * Must be able to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting and standing for long periods of time. * Must be able to perform tasks while wearing all required PPE such as but not limited to protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots. * Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.LOCATION OF ROLE * Yonkers, NYEqual Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Fem Ales, Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.Equal Opportunity Employer Our Company is an equal opportunity employer.
