Full job description

About Rippling Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role Cross-sell is central to Rippling’s next phase of growth, and almost none of it happens without the systems you’ll own. As our Growth Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the infrastructure behind every cross-sell channel — in-product ads, email, and in-product landing pages — including our Campaign Management Tool (CMT) and Next Best Product, the algorithm that determines which product we recommend to which customer. You’re not just keeping these systems running today; you’re building the foundation that lets growth marketing scale tomorrow. You’ll identify whitespace in how we cross-sell, find new ad types and ad surfaces we haven’t tapped yet, and improve the infrastructure our growth managers need to exceed their goals. You’ll partner with marketing, ads engineering, growth engineering, and MOps to turn what you find into a prioritized roadmap and drive it to shipped. And because you’ll understand these systems better than anyone, you’ll be the person the team turns to when an email doesn’t send, an ad doesn’t show, or we need to know what it’d take to support something new. What you'll own

  • Drive strategy and roadmap for in-product advertising & product-led growth: Drive the strategy for the ecosystem of in-product ads and product pages that appear natively throughout Rippling’s platform.
  • Sprint management: Run weekly sprints with ads engineering and MOps on bugs and improvements. Prioritize the backlog, keep tickets moving, and make trade-offs visible to marketing.
  • Troubleshooting and root-cause fixes: When a campaign breaks in email or IPAs, project manage the immediate fix, then lay the groundwork to fix the underlying infrastructure so the same issue doesn’t recur.
  • Suppression rules and logic: Own how suppression, ranking, and allocation work across emails and IPAs. Keep the rules clear and documented, and adjust them as send volume grows so we protect the customer experience without starving high-value campaigns.
  • Trigger signals: Run the intake and triage process for new signals. Partner with data and engineering to bring the best ones to life and make them self-serve for marketers.
  • New surface area and ad types: Expand where and how we show up in the product by adding placements for new products, new ad formats, and new entry points.
  • MQL and opportunity accuracy: Work cross-functionally with Marketing Ops to make sure all engagement within Rippling is MQL’d and that the opportunities created from it are accurate and properly attributed.
  • Reporting: Build and maintain the reporting that shows what’s working, what’s suppressed, and what’s driving pipeline across core channels. You’ll also analyze new experiments against KPIs and optimize based on results, working closely with data science and engineering teams to uncover new insights and share them with the broader growth team.

What you will need

  • 4-5+ years of experience in product, marketing, growth, business operations, or consulting. Great if you have experience at a fast-paced startup. You can quickly use data, qualitative insights, and your understanding of our product and user to develop and prioritize a roadmap.
  • An insatiable curiosity about how things work. You want to know why a system is wired the way it is, not just what it does. You’ve got a growth hacker instinct: you poke at things, find the shortcut, and aren’t satisfied with “that’s just how it works.”
  • Proven ability to run cross-functional technical programs. You can write a PRD, manage a sprint with engineers, write a clear ticket, and make trade-offs.
  • Strong project management abilities, balancing multiple initiatives while collaborating across teams like growth, sales, marketing ops, and brand.
  • A relationship builder who earns trust across functions. You know how to get engineering to prioritize your ticket, get MOps to pick up your fix, and get a growth manager to believe in your roadmap, and you do it by advocating for marketers as the basis for your decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts. You can trace a “why didn’t this send?” question through audience logic, suppression rules, and upstream data, and then explain it in plain language.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Github, Cursor, and Snowflake, enough to validate audiences and pull reporting yourself.
  • Comfort with AI tools and vibe coding. You’re not afraid to prototype a fix or a script yourself before looping in an engineer.
  • Familiarity with how marketing teams function, including the systems behind MQL definitions, routing, and opportunity attribution. You can spot when engagement isn’t being captured or an opp is credited to the wrong source, and work with MOps to fix it.
  • Experience with email and sequencing platforms (Iterable, Outreach, or similar) and with in-product or platform advertising.
  • Comfort with Jira and Confluence, and a habit of documenting how systems work so others can self-serve.
  • Sharp communication. You can synthesize a complicated system issue into a one-line Slack and say clearly when scope needs to be cut.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment, with energy for experimentation and rapid iteration.
  • You don't need to check every box to apply! If you're excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to throw your hat in the ring.
