About the Role
As a therapist within our Pediatric Outpatient Service Line, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, teens, young adults, and their families while working as part of an integrated clinical team.
You'll provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate therapy that helps members build resilience, strengthen relationships, develop effective coping skills, and make progress toward individualized treatment goals. Depending on the member's age and clinical needs, treatment may also involve partnering with parents or caregivers to reinforce skills, support treatment goals, and promote meaningful change outside of therapy sessions.
Therapists are an integral part of our collaborative care model. You'll work closely with behavioral case managers, psychiatric providers, nurses, coaches, and other clinical team members to ensure members receive coordinated care that reflects their individual, developmental, and family needs.
This role is a great fit for an independently NY licensed behavioral health clinician who is passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults, values collaboration, and is comfortable adapting treatment across developmental stages. You'll have opportunities to expand your clinical expertise through consultation, ongoing training, evidence-based care practices, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
We are looking for a part-time licensed therapist to join our Pediatric Care Services clinical team. This role sits within the Pediatric Outpatient Service Line and reports to a Clinical Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and caregivers.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, PMT, trauma-informed interventions, and other approaches appropriate to the member's clinical and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, behavioral case managers, coaches, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care.
• Engage caregivers as active partners in treatment when clinically and developmentally appropriate through psychoeducation, collaborative goal setting, and skills coaching.
• Maintain timely, accurate, clinically meaningful, and compliant documentation.
• Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, ongoing training, and professional development.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and the continued delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Requirements:
• Ability to work part-time, 24 hours per week.
• Availability to provide care during afternoon and evening hours to support member scheduling needs.
• Potential opportunity to work Saturdays based on program needs.
• Ability to maintain a private, professional workspace appropriate for providing confidential telehealth services.
• Ability to maintain reliable internet connectivity necessary to provide consistent, high-quality virtual care.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to meet applicable state licensing, credentialing, payer enrollment requirements, and interstate practice requirements.
Qualifications:
• Current, active New York license and registration in good standing that permits independent clinical practice and diagnosis, such as LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, LMHC, or LMFT. LMHCs and LMFTs must hold New York’s diagnostic privilege. License must have no current restrictions or pending disciplinary action.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or another behavioral health discipline that meets New York licensure requirements; or a doctoral degree (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related psychology discipline.
• Experience providing evidence-based behavioral health treatment to children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate care that recognizes and respects members' identities, lived experiences, family structures, and backgrounds.
• Experience utilizing evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, PMT, EMDR, and other clinically appropriate treatment approaches.
• Experience engaging caregivers as collaborative partners in treatment while promoting developmentally appropriate member autonomy.
• Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
• Strong clinical judgment with excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable utilizing telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and other digital tools to deliver high-quality virtual care.
• Warm, engaging, and collaborative clinical style with the ability to build therapeutic rapport across developmental stages.
