Job Summary:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Munitions Technician to join our Aero Services division based out of Creech AFB in Indian Springs, Nevada. Under general direction, this position is responsible for operating moderately complex machines and equipment in the assembly, test and installation of aircraft munitions. This position must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS in support of Company projects. Employee's in this role enjoy a Flex deployment rotation schedule while maintaining full benefits. Flex employee's work only while deployed or in a training status, receive deployment compensation, and live anywhere across the continental United States.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembles, disassembles, tests and installs a variety munitions items.

Inspects and maintains a variety of moderately complex machines to produce or modify munitions.

Troubleshoots and repairs systems following technical specifications, engineering instructions, technical orders and procedures and military regulations; documents findings.

Installs and modifies parts and assemblies; conducts operational and functional testing and adjusts systems to meet required specifications requiring long periods of standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Maintains munitions handling, aircraft suspension and support equipment to include bomb racks, weapons pylons and launchers.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as three or more years experience in aircraft munitions handling. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Must be able to perform a variety of moderately complex tasks and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of aircraft munitions handling, operation, transportation, installation and troubleshooting.

Considerable knowledge and use of aircraft munitions machinery, systems, electronic test equipment and measuring devices.
-
Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and assess situations and make judgments.

This position must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS in support of Company projects.

The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance is required.
-
The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Must possess the ability to:

Read technical specifications, engineering instructions, and technical orders and procedures.

Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Lifting, carrying, positioning, pushing, and pulling equipment.

Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.

Standing and walking for extended periods.

Bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working around, beneath, and potentially in confined areas of aircraft.

Using hand tools and working safely in an industrial flightline environment. Wearing required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, protective clothing, and safety footwear, as applicable.
