Job Description

Bring your expertise to JPMorganChase. As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorganChase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgment to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is about challenging the status quo, innovating responsibly, and striving to be best-in-class.

As a Senior Associate in Third Party Data Consumption, you will partner closely with risk, product, technology, and data stakeholders to deliver controlled, reliable, and scalable third-party data solutions that support business and risk outcomes. This role is critical and requires a blend of analytical and technical skills, with the ability to operate in a product development environment.

The Third Party Data Consumption team owns and manages end-to-end third-party data consumption across Consumer and Community Banking (CCB). This includes ensuring strong governance, controls, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the full data lifecycle—onboarding, integration, change management, monitoring, and optimization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of third-party data capabilities used across CCB.

  • Translate business/risk needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and technology teams.

  • Coordinate and manage change lifecycle activities (enhancements, defect remediation, version changes, data/vendor updates) with internal and external stakeholders.

Data Quality, Validation, and Testing

  • Execute and maintain data validation routines to confirm accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency of third-party data feeds and derived outputs.

  • Perform root-cause analysis of data quality issues and drive resolution across partner teams.

  • Build repeatable test approaches and regression coverage to support releases and ongoing monitoring.

Automation & Technical Enablement

  • Develop and enhance automated testing and validation solutions to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.

  • Use database querying and analysis techniques to validate results, investigate anomalies, and support issue triage.

  • Contribute to documentation and reusable test assets aligned with product development standards.

Governance, Controls, and Audit Readiness

  • Support the control framework and audit readiness through process and procedure updates, exception research, evidence preparation, and management reporting.

  • Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies for third-party data usage.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong understanding of third-party data consumption concepts (data lifecycle, governance, controls, and quality management).

  • Experience working in a product development environment (e.g., agile delivery, release management, cross-functional collaboration).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to investigate complex data issues.

  • Hands-on capability with database querying (e.g., SQL) to perform validations, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.

  • Experience with test automation or building repeatable validation/test frameworks for data products or pipelines.

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and ability to work independently while driving outcomes across stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear documentation and executive-ready updates.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting risk, compliance, or regulated data use cases (controls, evidence, monitoring, audit support).

  • Familiarity with data tooling and analytics languages (e.g., Python, SAS) and/or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). SharePoint proficiency a plus.

  • Experience with data quality/observability practices (monitoring, thresholds, alerts, anomaly detection).

  • Prior experience partnering with external vendors or data providers and managing data-related change events.
