What You'll Do as a Senior Scientist, Braun Intertec prides ourselves on being our client's experts for Brownfield redevelopment. At Braun Intertec, you will join our expert team of professionals and you'll lead and manage a variety of brownfield redevelopment projects from concept through construction completion, ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.
You will:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, to understand their needs and develop practical, effective solutions
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary project teams, driving accountability, quality, and momentum
Own project performance-managing scope, budget, schedule, risk, and profitability
Build and strengthen long-term client relationships and strategic partnerships
Mentor staff and contribute to developing the next generation of technical and project leaders
Provide technical leadership on advanced environmental work, including:
Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations
Response action plans supporting remediation and redevelopment
Brownfield redevelopment
Knowledge and experience with state and federal regulations
Experience with local and national clean up grants
Oversight of remedial activities and compliance monitoring
Scope development, cost estimating, and proposal preparation
Data analysis and report writing
Travel locally and regionally as needed (up to ~20%)
What Sets You Apart
You'll excel in this role if you bring the following competencies and abilities:
A BS degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
Licensure/certification as a Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, CHMM or related, and/or ability to be registered/certified within 12 months.
Demonstrated knowledge of brownfield redevelopment, including assessment, risk management, regulatory engagement, grant writing/management and support of redevelopment goals
Significant, in-depth hands-on environmental and project management experience is required, typically gained through 10-20+ years of progressively responsible work aligned with the position's duties
Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, Minnesota specific desired
Proven leadership and mentoring experience
A genuine interest in growing existing client relationships and business development
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Compensation Range:
$88,000.00 - $131,000.00
