Responsibilities Transporting patients to and from procedure areas including patients that must be accompanied by ACLS personnel. Performing the following tasks: hemostasing arterial/venous puncture sites, prepping patients, cleaning instruments/rooms, preparing sterile trays, working with materials and supplies. Assisting with the day-to-day activities necessary to increase the overall efficiency of the lab. Providing direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and sedation for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Qualifications
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
-
2 years of related work experience in a health care facility with Cardiac or acute care patient experience Required and
-
Experience in obtaining medical history, performing physical examination of patients and providing emergency care during transport Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
-
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
-
ACLS within 2 weeks of employment Required and
-
EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification EMT National Registry within 180 Days Required or
-
AEMT within 180 Days Required
-
EMT-P within 180 Days Preferred
