Full job description

SUMMARY: Ensure that routine nursing care is provided based on resident’s general service and health service plan as developed by the Assisted Living Coordinator. Responsible in the administration of medications and treatment in the Assisted Living Facility in accordance to current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility and as required by the Assisted Living Coordinator to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.

Job responsibilities & Functions:

  • Administer medications and treatment in accordance to the New Jersey Department of Health regulations, Actors Fund policies and procedures and as delegated by the Assisted Living Coordinator. Complete and maintain all required facility records such as logs, MAR, TAR, communication books and etc.
  • Ensure that all residents receive the assistance they need with their ADLs such as bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting and etc. Encourage self help and independence whenever possible. Assist in making arrangement for transportation, reminding residents of appointments, accompanying residents to appointments, activity, social programs and as needed. Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e. lab work, x-ray, therapy, etc) and collect specimens as instructed.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the resident’s general service and health plan as necessary. Reviews communication book and service plans daily to determine if there are any changes in the resident’s daily care routine.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance programs, and any other program to ensure that the facility provides the highest quality care.

  • Ensure that safety precautions in all duties are maintained and to report any hazardous conditions and any equipment in disrepair.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
