Position Overview

As a Hospice RN, you will provide PRN care, conduct admission and informational visits, and manage imminent and some routine visits for terminally ill patients in their homes. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), you will collaborate on the development and management of personalized care plans focused on symptom management, medication oversight, and providing emotional and spiritual support. You will also educate patients and families about the care process. This role requires a compassionate professional who can work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep passion for caring for end-of-life patients.

What You Can Expect in This Role

  • Flex Schedule: Required to work one shift per pay period. Days of the week will vary Mon-Fri 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, may include evening on-call and weekend shifts

  • Low Visit Requirements: Daily visit requirements below state and national averages

  • Compensation: Paid hourly which includes drive time and mileage reimbursement for traveling within McCall and its surrounding regions

  • Additional Pay: On-call pay and applicable differential pay

Qualifications

  • Education: Nursing Degree (ASN or BSN)

  • Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience; Hospice or Acute Care experience preferred

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of Idaho; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
