About The Role

We are hiring Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with acute care experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine who are comfortable working both independently and alongside DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care in the home. The ideal candidate uses strong critical‑thinking skills, follows evidence‑based standards of practice, proactively identifies and solves problems, adheres to all clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics, and consistently provides care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver in‑home acute and high‑acuity care
  • Perform comprehensive health assessments, and diagnose and treat mild to complex illnesses
  • Analyze test data to diagnose, treat and arrange appropriate follow-up for the patient to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and IV therapy
  • Order and interpret point‑of‑care diagnostics and imaging
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and follow‑up care
  • Navigate goals‑of‑care and end‑of‑life conversations as needed
  • Document accurately and adhere to clinical standards

What You’ll Need

  • Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary or other relevant areas
  • National board certification (current)
  • Current BLS / ACLS certification
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire; assistance provided)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy and insurer requirements.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays (expectation to work 3 holidays annually)

While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift, push and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
