Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring Dental Assistant’s in Newark, New Jersey! This role is on-site. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:
Type: Six-month contract with potential for extension or perm hire
Schedule: Between 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays may apply
Pay: $31.00 to $33.00 an hour
Position Summary
The Certified Dental Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to dentists and dental hygienists to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include chairside assistance, radiography, patient education, infection control, recordkeeping, and performing expanded functions permitted under New Jersey regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.

Assist the dentist during examinations, restorative procedures, oral surgeries, and emergency treatments.

Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with New Jersey regulations and office protocols.

Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, retracting tissues, and passing instruments.

Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
-
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.

Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment inventory.
Administrative Responsibilities
-
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

Assist with insurance claims, billing, and patient communications.

Answer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification from DANB preferred.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in New Jersey preferred.

Current CPR/BLS certification.
-
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, radiology, and infection control standards.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or other dental practice management software.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
