Description: Job Title: Health Information Management Tech

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Location: St. Mary's Hospital

As a “Health Information Management Tech” you will:

  • In collaboration with others, monitors and audits EHR documentation.

  • Reviews records as scheduled or on ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation

  • As directed, performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breeches related to EHR access

  • Selects appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity

  • In collaboration with others, monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures.

  • Knowledge of data analysis concepts.

  • Experience with Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.

[FT/PT Benefit eligible Roles]:

**0.4 FTE (16 hours weekly) up to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly)
