Our shared research language, combining fundamental, quantitative valuation and technical inputs, facilitates the comparison of ideas across sectors and geographies. Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including broad market, long duration, stable value, intermediate high yield, emerging market debt, short and ultra-short duration, global bonds, structured products, mortgages and tax-aware strategies.

As an Insurance Portfolio Manager within the Global Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (GFICC) team, you will oversee all aspects of multi-sector investment grade fixed income portfolios for our insurance company clients. You will partner closely with a dedicated insurance-focused portfolio management team to set portfolio strategy and positioning, monitoring risk metrics, and ensure portfolios are implemented effectively and efficiently. With significant direct client interaction, you will customize portfolios to meet their unique business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Strategy & Analytics team to design client-appropriate portfolios.

  • Own portfolio implementation, ensuring alignment to client guidelines and risk targets.

  • Present GFICC's investment process and market insights to current clients and prospects; communicate portfolio positioning, performance drivers, and risk exposures clearly and concisely.

  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to client inquiries; provide hi-quality, defensible analysis and written commentary as needed.

  • Partner with a wide range of internal teams to improve portfolio management processes and enhance operational efficiencies.

  • Further the team's efforts to incorporate AI and optimization into the portfolio management process, identifying high-impact use cases, partnering with quantitative/technology stakeholders, and helping to operationalize tools into day-to-day workflows.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3 + years' experience managing institutional fixed income portfolios

  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal partners.

  • Self-motivation and sound judgment; ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately and proactively.

  • Team orientation with ability to proactively present investment ideas to the PM team.

  • Ability to manage complex and potentially conflicting client priorities often under tight time constraints.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience managing insurance fixed income portfolios

  • CFA designation or post-graduate business degree

  • Experience analyzing and managing corporate and securitized bonds

  • Experience with optimization techniques, quantitative portfolio tools, and/or applied AI/ML in an investment context.
