About our Practice

Corewell Health care center Ada is made up of several departments including Primary Care, Midwifery, urgent care, lab, x-ray, ultrasound and physical therapy. These services are all conveniently housed under one building. The team culture of our primary care office is based around open communication, strong teamwork, and collaboration . As an office we strive to deliver the best patient care all while promoting an inclusive, supportive and fun work environment. We offer lunch and learn sessions in the office, as well as team bonding events outside of the workspace. Management strives to help team members feel safe, supported, and always encourage curiosity.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred

• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

• One of the following Required within 120 Days

• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
